Ayisha Gothson was always fascinated by the objects adorning the walls of her grandfather’s study. So much so that when he offered to teach her about them, their history, their use and their importance, she jumped at the offer.

Over the years she became quiet skilled under his tutelage, and a little reserved. More than once at the beginning he had scolded her for using what he was teaching her dishonorably. His words stung as much as his later praise lifted her.
