Biography

Cassandra Rose thought her days as a ballplayer came to an end after an injury ended her collegiate career. Retiring from the national softball team, she returned to Brickstown to help her uncle Chester manage his sporting goods and baseball memorabilia store. When the Rikti invasion occurred, her uncle sprang into action by taking an antique baseball bat off the wall, and helping to clear the streets of the aliens, as the Mighty Casey. It turns out, her family legacy was that of the legendary ballplayer, who uses a bat hewn from Yggdrassil itself. Her uncle was the fourth Mighty Casey, but alas, was laid low during the invasion. Picking up his bat, Cassandra became the next in the line of the Casey lineage!

There's a rumor however, that the powers of Mighty Casey will wane after a time, passing the legacy on to the next in the line. This is when the power of the bat 'goes to the bullpen'.

Battlecry

  • BATTER UP!

Quotations

  • So long as they've not gotten 27 outs on us, we can still win this.
  • The war against the Rikti isn't a World Series we can lose.

Inspiration

The Mighty Casey is inspired by the classic poem about baseball, Casey at the Bat.
