Therra Arcson had been fighting the Circle of Thorns for years. When she was wounded, captured in a Council base, the Circle knew they had a golden opportunity for revenge. They aimed not to kill her, but to destroy all she loved - her reputation, her family and friends. Posessing a lower ranking Council soldier, they retrieved blood, hair and skin from the rocks and from her directly.

Hurrying back, they began a long ritual to create a duplicate of her, one directly under their control. They didn't count on Therra's patron interfering, though. At great risk to herself, she blocked them from duplicating the original Therra's powers. Furious, the Circle turned to the infernal realms, empowering her with darkness and flame.

The result was not what they expected.

Instead of a compliant tool, they created a monster, one born of and living in pain, one feeling eternally incomplete. In her agony and anger, she turned on her creators, slaughtering the mages. Bloodlust sated, she took her time with the last few, questioning them about why she'd been created, what these memories she had were.

She now blames not just the Circle but Therra Arcson for her condition, ever planning on ways to make them all pay for this unwanted existence.
