David was born with his abilities but did not fully understand them until he was an adult. Living in a small neighborhood helped him keep his abilities secret, using them only to keep his family and friends safe. That changed when his hometown was attacked by a powerful robot. David intervened and destroyed the robot by flying it into a nearby building. David left to clear his mind. This time was cut short when the attack of Rhode Island took place. David embraced his powers and went to help fight the alien invasion under the alias, Vitality.
Early Life
David was always aware that his strength was beyond normal humans but he never knew how much stronger he actually was. The only one who knew of David's uniqueness besides his family was his best friend Nate.
David woke to the sounds of sirens and gunfire, unaware of how his life was about to change. A couple blocks down on mainstreet, the cops were unloading their weapons on a powerful robot until David arrived and intervened. David was pushed to his limits as the fight went on, destroying most of downtown. The fight ended as they smashed into the downtown theatre and the building fell down on top of them. Minutes went by as the dust began to settle...then, David dug his way out through the rubble. Shocked, dazed, and confused...David just left.
Many things ran through Davids mind......believing it all his fault.
Powers and Abilities
Vitality possesses superhuman abilities as a result of his unique physiology including superhuman strength, speed, stamina, durability, and and is capable of flight under his own willpower. Vitality's abilities increase and decrease in accordance with his level of confidence, so although his power is potentially limitless, it is still possible to cause him injury. However, when he is is injured his recovery time from physical trauma is significantly greater than that of a normal human.
