==Background==
The [[ACADI (Pinnacle)|ACADI]] model ACADI Automated Response Medical Unit - Mark One Alpha is an experimental android on loan to the [[Justice Avengers (Pinnacle)|Justice Avengers]]. The A.A.R.M.U (pronounced ARM-YOU) Mk1a is based on a typical android combat chassis repurposed for its current role as an emergency medical response system. The unit's artificial intelligence is based on a modified version the controversial A1Mk1a-MCP Sentinel hardware and core programming that is utilized by the android villain Hec'Tor.  The robot's offensive capability is derived from hardware developed for the [[WarMain (Pinnacle)|WarMain]] exoskeleton and adapted to AARMU-Mk1a. The implementation of the android's medical capability is based on further application of the [[PHASSAR Device (Pinnacle)|ACADI PHASSAR Device]]. In this application the device is modified with the ability to create a temporary quantum entanglement within the affected areas and perform non-invasive healing and/or repair procedures.
 
Originally, the AARMU-Mk1a was to be fitted with an enhanced VIos (Virtual Intelligence Operating System) but the complexities of the healing and repair procedures demanded a fully functional AI. The AARMU-Mk1a is also fitted with a teleportation system, itself derived from captured rikti technology.
