==History==
A ten-year veteran of the ''Paragon City Times'', Claire Carter is perhaps best-known for her weekly column in the Metro section. Claire's fondness for "behind the scenes" stories rankles the power elite, and puts her in contact with more subtle forms of crime than most superheroes deal with. Recently, Claire accepted a buyout from the ailing ''Times'' and has shifted over to the alternative weekly ''Paragon VICE'', where she blogs and writes stories about superheroes in Paragon.

Fiercely protective of her journalistic integrity, Claire nonetheless struggles with the distance and objectivity she must maintain.... and often wonders if that unwillingness to directly intervene makes her a good journalist, or a poor human being. What she knows for sure is she's pulled her old compound bow--a relic from college--out of the closet after not looking at it for years. She has now begun donning a mask and patrolling under the mentorship of [[Simone Chandler]].

==Current Status==
Claire has gradually shifted the focus of her writing to the "undocumented"--those heroes who operate without license from the FBSA. Her fascination is due in part to her empathy, as she herself has now become an undocumented vigilante. With Simone, Claire is now hunting the super villain [[Girl Zero]].

==Personality==
Claire has the demeanor of a lifelong journalist: outgoing when she needs to be, inquisitive, deceptively casual and possessing a fine-tuned B.S. detector. She has many acquaintances and drinking buddies, but few she calls close friends. She is, like many journalists, a closeted introvert.
