Biography
William Connor was a security guard near Memphis, TN, working the night shift to support his family. He also had an unidentified, latent mutation which would consume and provide heat - barely noticeable on cold winter nights. An accident which led to an explosion at the facility he guarded finally brought it to the forefront as he rushed in to save a few stragglers, the flames seeming to barely touch him.
The built up energy finally released late that night, leaving him a widower.
The attention from the FBSA and others kept him from slipping into depression, showing him how to turn the source of this tragedy into a way to help others, shielding and protecting him as well as helping augment his strength. He became a recognized hero, protecting Paragon to the best of his ability.
Other info
This Memphis Bill was the initial character created by this player in February 2005. The character was a continuation of a "Silver Age Sentinels" pen and paper RPG character, "as close as the powersets could be made at that time," itself inspired by the character Scuzz from the New Universe series D.P. 7. The name came from going through a DVD collection and seeing "Memphis Belle."
