Amanda Gothson wasn't that different from her school mates, aside from a slight deformity of her ears. She excelled at sports and loved being look up to. That was until high school.
Her freshman year was a little awkward, especially when she started doing better in gym than some of the senior boys.
That summer things got worse? her slightly pointed ears got longer, noticeably longer. And she grew a tail. Both she and her parent were terrified. They hoped that with long hair and skirts no one would notice.
It worked for about a week after school started. One shattered locker room wall and a devastated Amanda later the school asked that she be moved to a ?more appropriate institution.?
She was enrolled in one of the many private schools set up to handle people of her talents and graduated quietly.
