Bio
"Not much is known of this small plant-like creature, except that it appears to resemble a young human female and that anyone who is near it feels rejuvenated and alive. When threatened, however, it exhibits the ability to control nearby flora that enables it to immobilize and subdue any aggressors. It appears to have a high capacity for learning and will certainly warrant further study."
- -- Dr. Elias Crane, former Crey researcher
Notes
This character's bio represented my first attempt to tie together multiple characters into one overall narrative. (Elias Crane was the father of Meredith Crane, a.k.a. Aural Protector.) I never did get around to playing the character, though, so she stayed parked in the tutorial for five years.
When Nature Affinity was announced, I was excited that I could recreate this character with the perfect secondary power set. (At the time, Thermal Radiation was the closest I could get to an entirely organic / plant-based character.) However, it was not meant to be.
Two Fridays after Nature Affinity went live, I used the bulk of my Paragon Points to purchase the unique rare IO procs that were offered in the store (Miracle, Numina, and Performance Shifter). Only after that did I learn the day's news that the game was to be shut down. Without the ability to purchase more points, I would have to wait for my next two VIP stipends in order to have enough points to purchase power set. By the time I had enough points at the beginning of November I was working hard to finish documenting Issue 24, and thus never re-created my Plant Control / Nature Affinity plant-like creature.
