Inspiration

Natasha Romanoff is based on the Marvel character Black Widow (Natalia Romanova).

Early Life

Natasha was probably born around the end of 1930's or the beginning of the 1940's in Stalingrad. When Nazi soldiers set the house she was in on fire, a Soviet soldier heard her screams and saved her life. He took care of Natasha and became a close associate of her.

During her youth she turned out to be a very talented athlete and scholar. Natasha gained much reputation in the USSR as a skilled karate fighter. Sometime in the 60's she married Alexi Fedorovich, a pilot of the USSR's air force.

Becoming the KGB's Number One

The KGB realized that both, Natasha and Alexi, would make excellent operatives and decided to split them up. They first offered Alexi to join the KGB and faked his death during a test flight, after he agreed. Afterwards the KGB approached Natasha, who was filled with bitterness about the "death" of her big love, and she joined aswell.

It was back then Natasha was first called "Black Widow" by her comrades. She went through extensive training in hand-to-hand combat, sharpshooting, espionage and disguise. After her training was finished, the KGB gave her a experimental serum, that heightened her physical capabilities to the peak of human cabality. The serum also increased her life-span drastically. Over the years Natasha became the KGB's top agent, operating in Europe, the USA and East Asia.

The Red Sickel

In 1985 Natasha was assigned to obtain the plans of Dr. Brian Webb's dimensional portal technology. She managed it to steal the plans and the KGB sent another operative, the Red Sickel, to assassinate Dr. Webb. The Red Sickel turned out to be no one else but Alexi Fedorovich. Feeling betrayed by her superiors and her husband and realizing that she was working for the wrong side, Natasha decided to fight against him and defeated Alexi in the end. After this she defected and got amnesty in the USA in exchange for intelligence information.

Agent of E.L.I.T.E.

After the fall of the USSR, E.L.I.T.E. (Enhanced Logistics for Insight and Tactical Excellence) asked Natasha to work for them because of her amazing skills and experience. Natasha joined and since then she's working as an special operative for them.

Powers and Abilities

Natasha has mastered several fighting styles, like Karate, Judo, Aikido, Boxing and Kung-Fu, she's a skilled marksman and acrobat and a talented hacker and leader. Natasha speaks multiple languages fluently, like Russian, English, German, Japanese, Spanish and French.
