Bio
Young Meredith Crane's father was a Crey scientist researching ways to adapt Council sonic technoloy into the Tank battle suits. One Saturday, Meredith was tagging along to watch her father work when something went terribly wrong. A Rikti-modified sonic rifle exploded in the lab and engulfed Meredith in waves of sonic energy. But rather than being killed by the blast, the energy was absorbed into her body. Although she appeared unhurt, it soon became clear that Meredith was no longer the same.
Meredith was now completely deaf and every time she opened her mouth to speak she burst forth with sonic waves. Her grief-sticken father took his research and went into hiding to care for her. He built a custom suit for her that channels and augments her nascent abilities. Meredith's helmet has a Psi-translator that allows her to mentally speak to and be spoken to by other people. The suit is constantly being upgraded as Meredith grows and learns, but her father is always looking for a way to reverse her condition.
Notes
This character's concept was that her costume would change after she reached certain levels to represent her getting older and her armor becoming more sophisticated and powerful. Since she never got past level 20, the concept never came to be utilized in gameplay. However, I did design potential costumes before the game shut down, for what they could have been had she levelled up.
