Regina Love had been an average student, chubby and an outsider. While in college, she got caught in a gang war, fell victim to a bomb blast and ended up as an experiment.
In order to save her life, but above all at the urging of detectives, parts of her body were replaced with cybernetic implants. Regina supposedly agreed to this, although whether she was actually of sound mind at that time is disputed. Becoming a cyborg has not necessarily made her more attractive and pretty much pushed her into Freedom Corps; still, Regina is sort of glad about her fate – after all, her life finally has a purpose now.
