Character History
Oguri Saeko was born on 1986-07-23 as the daughter of Oguri Kenshin, an employee of Specialized Informational Computers. Specinfcom was expanding into video games at the time, and Kenshin became a major figure after creating the hit games Master of Nightmare 68K, Vandal Legacy and The Zeus Miller Saga. Fearing his daughter would take their wealth for granted, he taught Saeko be selfless and began giving money to charity.
By the mid-2000s, Saeko had indeed grown up to be an idealist of sorts, but became skeptical of simple donations over concerns that corrupt governments were embezzling the money. When the Rikti invaded again, Saeko called for people to support the Vanguard any way they could, until an annoyed acquaintance told her to join the fight herself. This inspired her to approach a group of bionicians partially funded by her father and pay them as much money as possible to be turned into a combat-ready cyborg. Adopting the name Jinkourai, she then headed to the center of the war.
Arriving in Paragon City in late summer 2007, Jinkourai immediately joined other Heroes in fending off Rikti attacks. She then learned that the Vanguard preferred experienced metahumans and therefore resorted to combat minor villain groups for the time being. She soon got the chance to upgrade her body with artificial wings.
Jinkourai was soon invited into private Supergroups by comrades, although she quickly left the first one upon realizing that its members spoke Spanish with each other (or perhaps Portuguese, as she didn't understand either). She finally joined The Power Corps in January 2008, and was promoted to Captain later that year. Jinkourai also began working with Crey Technologies on occasion.
