Marcus takes the Form of not only the species he watches, but also takes the form of something that holds respect and power. For example when he watched over the planet of the Deamins he appeared as a Tribe Leader as to gain the respect of those around him, even giving himself wings, a sign of purity of power within their culture. Back story
His real name is unspeakable by Human Tongue. He comes from a distant Realm outside the reach of Time and Space. He Claims to be a distant relative of the Kheldans with abilities much like them such as control over Light, and the ability to Shape shift. But does not need a Host to survive and is effectively immortal. He can cleanly Shape shift into any form he wants but usually stays inside the form he is most often seen in, the Man in a Suit. His reason for coming to earth is to gain knowledge. His race is immortal, no one has died since their evolution to their current state, and yet no one has evolved or reproduced. To Hamilton, his race is as good as dead if they cannot evolve, so he has decided to search across his universe and a countless number of other universes for a way to continue his races evolution. His quest has brought him to earth where he meets his Kheldan "relatives" once again for the fourth time, having had met them on various other worlds, that are now dead thanks to the Nictus. Marcus is most fascinated with Kheldans, and thinks that he can learn most about Immortal Evolution(as he has named the practice of evolving ones self without the need of reproduction) from them, and even their evil counterparts the Nictus.
