Senith (Triumph)

Overview

The Nosferatu were the first species of primates to evolve to a true civilization. Their DNA, while similar to that of Homo sapiens, was fundamentally altered by prolonged exposure to a meteorite of extra-solar origin. This mutation blessed the Nosferatu extraordinary tissue regeneration,which when augmented by the blood of other living creatures, could sustain their lives indefinitely. However, the mutation also caused a severe photo sensitivity and precluded the Nosferatu from having more than one offspring. By 10,000 B.C. they had watched the short lived, more primitive Homo sapiens evolve into an organized, pseudo-civilized race. Some of the Nosferatu, led by Aelfric Moore, wished to nurture the young civilization. Others led by Dracula wished to enslave them. This schism eventually led to all out civil war and nearly self-genocide for the Nosferatu.

Background

The Vampiric Knight Senith is among second generation of the Nosferatu. When the great war broke out, Senith sided with Aelfric Moore and became one of his personal bodyguards. Throughout the millenia following Dracula's banishment, Senith has hunted and killed many of the fallen vampires. To sustain himself, Senith has fed on the blood of Pharaohs, kings, and heroes, but unlike those he hunts, Senith has never killed those he feeds on. His story flows through the background of history, and he has championed many of the great nations of man. Unfortunately, whenever his true nature is discovered, Senith has been forced to "disappear" from the world; sleeping for several centuries at a time until he has been forgotten.

Upon awakening from his last such slumber, Senith found himself under dissection by strange scientists. In a fit of fury, he destroyed the entire facility and all the occupants that attempted to stop him. Afterward, Senith rejoined society and began catching up on all that he had missed in the previous 500 years. To his horror, Senith learned that the scientists dissecting him had been members of the Council, and he concluded that they must have been attempting to perfect their newly discovered Vampyri Serum using his ancient and pure DNA.

Due to his timely awakening, the Council would never be able to perfect their serum, but Senith saw the prototypes already in development as an affront to nature and has sworn to rid the world of every last Vampyri.
