In the far reaches of space... A Kheldian knew she was dying. Her mind cast out for a host, a suitable body to sustain her life. Far and wide she searched, until...
Earth. Paragon City, the present. Stephanie Taylor felt her life force leaving her. She had been caught in the crossfire between several of the city's heroes and a gang of Hellions. Lying in a pool of her own blood, Stephanie prayed and wished for a miracle. To be able to survive this, to take care of her little brother until he was old enough to take care of himself.
The universe saw a way. For both dying souls.
The Kheldian, known as Spektra, found a suitable body.
Stephanie got her wish.
Now, together, under the Kheldian's name, they fight the evils befallen the cosmos (and the city), and Stephanie's brother is not without a guardian.
Spektra guards the city.
Stephanie cares for her brother.
They are one, for all time.
