One dreadful night when I was 14, I had a terrible dream. I was surrounded by fire; I felt the heat of it on my skin. I screamed and screamed but no one heard me, no one came to save me. When I was finally able to focus my eyes I was outside lying on the sidewalk while my home was burning down. Then I began to choke, the ash taste was too strong I couldn’t hold it back any longer. I awoke with a jerk, gasping for air. When I was finally able to focus my eyes I was outside lying on the sidewalk while my home was burning down. My only family died in the fire and it WAS MY FAULT!
From that moment on, I took what I knew and found a mentor to help guide me on how to use my powers to help people, instead of harm them. I still have to be careful though, sometimes I can’t control it.
