Origin
Born in an Arachnos Lab in Grandville, Archelous was the bastard child of a Fortuna and a kidnapped Indian shaman. Bred specifically to serve in the Arachnos forces, Archie had a painful and miserable childhood. While many kids in the Rogue Islands were raised learning how to pickpocket and vandalize, Archelous was trained how to be a killer. He committed his first murder at the age of 5, when he suck a syringe filled with sewage waste into the neck of a facemaker.
He’s been genetically and cosmetically altered, leaving him with a ruined face and a hard wired killer instinct. By his late teens, he was incredibly lethal; so much so that he was kept almost exclusively in high level captivity by Arachnos Crab Soldiers. Such is the life of an Arachnos bio-experiment.
Circle of Thorns
As a new type of experiment, he was deposited in an underground Circle of Thorns den on his 20th birthday, with the hopes that he would learn enough magic to further enhance his killing abilities. At first, he actually took an interest in learning from Thorns… He learned how to levitate, teleport himself, and even how to wield a Blackrod.
But it wasn’t long before his genetically inclined disposition reasserted itself, and Archelous brutally slaughtered every last mage and archer in the CoT den. He emerged from the underground cave covered in blood and further empowered with a basic knowledge in the arts of dark magic and a revitalized taste for blood. The only physical object he brought back with him from the den, besides the blackrod, was a set of CoT robes. Red and Black of course.
