Undead Lizzie is a Villainous Mastermind on Defiant. Her Power Sets are Necromancy and Dark Miasma.
She has been remade on Reunion, where she is currently level 17, and has founded the Syndicate of Nitrovampires 2100.
She is a powerful undead, the ultimate result of a ritual Lizzie attempted to perform in response to her old high school rival Tina having become an angelic Hero.
Undead Lizzie is the Primal counterpart to Dead Lizzie.
Character History
Background
An American of mixed ancestry, Elizabeth Crane was born in Paragon City on 1989-04-23, to an upper-class family.
Lizzie was a so-called "alpha bitch" in high school, although she had a major rivalry with another clique led by Tina Hansen. She proclaimed a few times that she and her friends were going to be prominent Heroes, although she said that primarily to upstage Tina and boost her image; she certainly wasn't serious about helping other people.
A New Life and Death
Not long after her graduation in 2007, the Rikti invaded again. Increasingly uncomfortable with her behaviour, her parents saw this as a perfect excuse to send Lizzie away to Florida, where she could live with relatives and attend a relatively expensive college. This separated her from her friends, including her then-current boyfriend Benjamin "Bennie" Serrano. Life in the Sunshine State quickly grew on her, however; by early 2008, Lizzie was dating Kenny "Snowflake" Buckner, and they got engaged after a few weeks.
In spring, however, Lizzie finally learned what had become of Tina: a Hero, like she had wanted, and an angelic one at that. More specifically, she had gotten herself killed but returned from the netherworlds with the power of a mysterious god named Nuroralamiel. Lizzie initially laughed her rival off, pointing out that she was technically dead and insisting that this automatically made her a failure, but envy soon got the better of her. Neglecting her studies, she became obsessed with the idea of acquiring supernatural power for herself, and soon managed to get ahold of a grimoire that allowed her to strike a deal with Kaczasbupon, a god of death. Requesting assistance and telling them they could share some of the power, Lizzie got most of her old gang back together in order to prepare a ritual that would make them Kaczasbupon's agents.
Snowflake, however, was uneasy about this and managed to contact Angel Tina, who, in a rare example of actually consulting with Nuroralamiel, learned that Kaczasbupon was indeed evil and would probably deprive his new servants of their wills. While Tina arrived in time to at least interfere with the ritual, a defiant Lizzie tried even harder to complete it. As a result, she was transformed into what was basically an undead angel, while her friends were more simply zombified, but their connection to Kaczasbupon was broken. They had become zombies awaiting their master's commands, but their master was unable to command them.
Back for Evil
With no apparent way to restore their life, the young zombies were imprisoned by local mystics. But this state was not to last. Around Halloween 2010, the creature that had been Lizzie Crane managed to break free. Blaming Tina for her fate, she began roaming the streets searching for her archenemy, wielding black magic and thirsting for revenge, but lacking practice and combat experience. Fortunately for her, Arachnos took notice and brought her to the Rogue Isles as a potential ally. Considering the enemy's enemy a friend, Lizzie soon settled into the role of a big bad Villain while assembling her undead comrades into her personal little army and slowly regaining control of her mental faculties.
Meanwhile, Angel Tina had joined Generic Supergroup 101 and begun climbing the ranks. In response, Lizzie became determined to join rival gang Generic Villaingroup 101. Joining a strike force with several of their members, she successfully demonstrated her usefulness and was accepted into the group.
