History

Felicity Bane was born to a poor blue-collar family in the Gish neighborhood of Kings Row. She never got along with her parents, and only barely tolerated the presence of her younger sister Rose. Felicity was born a medium, and a powerful one at that--she could see and talk to ghosts as easily as she could the living. This, coupled with her natural rebelliousness and aggression, caused Felicity to routinely act out at home and school.

At age 12, Felicity hooked up with Sunshine, the leader of a local gang called the Regents, a gang that operated under the aegis of the Family and predated the Skulls. By 14, Felicity was boosting cars for the Regents, and by 16 Felicity picked up her first gun and killed Sunshine at the behest of a Family capo named Dragonetti. From then on, Felicity belonged long, stock, and barrel to Don Sebastian Frost.

Felicity in 'Dark' Astoria

Felicity was Irish and female, so she could never be "made" in the Family, but she was nonetheless a prize enforcer. She was a natural hunter and a prodigy with a gun, and over the next 12 years she rose in the ranks to become one of the Family's top soldiers and the ace in the hole wielded by Frost when negotiations with other criminal organizations broke down. Felicity reveled in her newfound respect and wealth, though she increasingly turned to drugs, alcohol, and promiscuity to suppress the growing disgust she felt for herself and what she'd become.

Her break came in a simple, meaningless tragedy: her younger sister Rose was captured along with several others by Family stooges and sold to the Circle of Thorns as sacrifices, in exchange for some magical protection. Felicity found out and had a breakdown. Days after she fell out of contact with the Family, she struck, killing every Family member in one of their Independence Port warehouses before burning the facility down. Dragonetti was among the men killed.

Soon joined by Tesla St. James, Felicity began a path of brutal vengeance against the Family, which slowed down as her temper edged into true grief over her sister's death. With the assistance of the Back Alley Brawler, Felicity attained FBSA licensing as a MAGI hero and, with Tesla, founded the Myrmidon Agency. The Myrmidon Agency was like Felicity and Tesla themselves: fierce, mercurial, and underestimated. Not satisfied with the reactive nature of most "heroes," Felicity set out to take the fight to the criminals with the MA at her back.

The MA soon made its mark with increasingly high-profile jobs, culminating in their biggest effort and PR coup, the rescue of Statesman and apparent assassination of Tyrant on Praetorian Earth. The MA's legacy secure, Felicity recruited several new members to the MA and set about to retire with her fiancée, Juliet Sharma (a.k.a. Cacophony).

Betrayal from one of the new recruits, Jennifer Poe, left Felicity horrifically maimed in a botched assassination attempt; she lost her right eye and arm and sustained burns over 60% of her body. This injury pushed Felicity into retirement, where she stayed until the death of Juliet.

Searching for purpose, Felicity, along with Julia Wells (Grey Shroud), Mikaela LaCroix, and Amanda Graham (Tielekku's Hand), uncovered a decades-long conspiracy behind the current state of Astoria. Together they founded the Dark Astoria Foundation, which Felicity led. Felicity's celebrity helped the DAF take off, and for a time the agency became the most sought-after magical foundation in Paragon.

During this time, Felicity began her first book, Ghosts of Paragon City, a mix of autobiography and city history. Ghosts was eventually made into a movie, and Felicity's fame and fortune secure, she handed the DAF over to Alicia Smith and fell into semi-retirement with her new wife, Simone Chandler.

Current Status

Felicity is now working on her second book and exploring the deeper recesses of magical theory with friends and allies in the Midnighter Club. No longer physically able to continue the vigilante lifestyle (despite occasional emergency excursions, such as the renewed Rikti invasion and the zombie uprising), Felicity now prefers to work for larger systemic change in Kings Row and beyond. She takes regular lunches with the city councilman for Kings Row, and many say her own eventual campaign for that position is inevitable.

She is planning to start a family with Simone Chandler.

Personality

Felicity has always been outgoing, charismatic, and often aggressive. As she made the shift from criminal to hero and then public figure, her edge has softened. The cumulative guilt from her years stealing and killing, coupled with her severe injuries, has humbled her, and she's now a softer-spoken, more thoughtful person. However, she still holds strong opinions about the role of heroes in Paragon City, and retains as many enemies as friends.

Felicity lives in a renovated penthouse in Kings Row, and is easygoing and accessible to Kings Row natives.
