Background
It was at a tragic tailgate party where Tanya first manifested her power over fire, at age 13. Finding that she was able to bend the flame to her will, but unable yet to control her powers, four beautiful steaks were burned beyond edibility. Shunned by her family for her mistake, she found refuge with a bizarre band of cultists, who lifted her up as a sign of their comet god. They eventually sent her forth, to combat evil and convert the people to the belief in the coming of the comet god, who will burn away all offending parts of the body and use the resulting space for parking.
Briquette is the sister of fellow mutant and House Of Emerald Strumpets member Glimmerbritches.
Personality
Despite the the somewhat apocalyptic nature of her origin, Briquette is fun-loving and easy going. She does occasionally draw the odd look when in the course of conversation, she will casually drop in something on the order of "of course, none of this matter when the comet comes and we all perish in the burning pyre".
For this and the incendiary nature of her powers, Briquette often fights alone. She can run at super speed and she can use raise the temperature of the air around her so that she can seemingly disappear behind a heat shimmer, so when teamed up she often is used as a scout or as a sniper.
Briquette's closest friend is Grampa Jones.

Briquette has yet to meet her Praetorian doppelganger, the Loyalist that goes by the name Miskeete.
In an alternate dimension where hidden rival global factions attempt to keep the public safe and unaware of a secret world of otherworldly evil, a student named Tanya Jordan awakens one morning to discover that she can tap into the anima power of the Earth. Recruited by the secret society known as the Illuminati and taking on the codename Miss Queete, Tanya is now a super-powered foot-solider, fighting to keep an unspeakable darkness from consuming an unsuspecting world.
