Fanfare was a minor hero in The Hollows area of Paragon City until his retirement several years ago following the death of his wife. He now acts as mentor and technical support for his two children Dragonfire and Iceheart.

Personality

A hard and unforgiving man, Adrian Noble sees the world through a strict personal code of ethics. Anyone straying from his vision of ideal behaviour is severely treated until they can prove themselves to him once more. Prone to emotional outbursts he has been known to allow them to lead him into danger when seeking to bring the unjust to justice.

Abilities

Battlesuit

Combination of Flight, Sonic Attack and Devices

Originally commissioned under the orders of the Soviet Union during the Cold War, Dr Noble was only a teenager when the first prototype of his battlesuit was constructed, however the armour proved enough of an asset to attract the attention of the American government. Once he'd defected to Paragon City Dr Noble was given the funding and resources he needed to perfect a working model of the suit, which he then began field testing against the city's criminals.

Fitted with booster jets, which at first allowed the suit to jump short distances and later developed into hovering and even full flight capabilities, the suit is maneuverable enough to quickly navigate the urban environment. Along with this a sonic amplifier built into the main body allowed the wearer to focus their voice to assault enemies in a nonlethal manner. Later on, once he'd gained some additional experience on the streets, Dr Noble added several extra gadgets and gizmos which allowed him to take on a range of tactical situations single-handed.

While the military never decided to make use of Dr Noble's battlesuit directly the research he undertook in its development went a long way in aiding their own weapons development programs, as well as eventually being leaked to CRey who had their own ideas for possible uses.

Skilled Engineer

Dr Noble has a long and successful career developing armoured suits for a number of different heroes and can often be found tinkering with new inventions inside his workshop. His skills allow him to quickly assess technological threats as well as giving him a good understanding of scientific ones as well.

Tactics

Reliant on technology to support his attacks Dr Noble understands he needs to protect himself at all costs. Due to this philosophy he has outfitted his battlesuit with a myriad of ranged and indirect weaponry which means he can keep his distance from his foes while engaging them. The speed his flight capability gives him allows for rapid redeployment should his position come under threat.

Strengths

Fast and heavy hitting, Dr Noble's range of gadgets makes him an unpredictable opponent who is able to quickly switch strategies on the move.

Weaknesses

The battlesuit is designed more as a weapons platform than defensive armour and can easily be damaged, especially by a determined melee fighter. Prolonged assaults can also quickly drain the suit's power supply, requiring Dr Noble to disengage in order to preserve both himself and his technology.

Character History

Born just after the end of the Second World War Andrey Nobraskavitch showed signs very early on that he had a natural aptitude for science and engineering. Remo0ved from his family by the State he was placed in an accelerated learning programme designed to make the most of his abilities as soon as possible and by the time he was twelve he had already achieved a level of education equivalent to a University graduate.

Assigned to a weapons development facility on the outskirts of Arkhangelsk in northern Russia he was soon making breakthroughs in robotic design and man-machine interface synergy leading to the design of a combat chassis which would allow infantry to mount heavier weaponry while maintaining maximum mobility. Unknown to him a number of the other researchers working on the base were undercover agents for American interests who quickly came to realise the potential of his work.

Defection

In 1964, just after the deposition of the Soviet leader Nikita Khrushchev, the Americans engineered a scenario where Dr Nobraskavitch believed his life was in danger from the KGB due to the political swing away from Khrushchev's liberal, scientifical supportive regime. The plot worked and in early December of the same year the young Soviet defected, taking with him much of his research, as well as the only working prototype of his combat armour.

Once in America Dr Nobraskavitch changed his name, partly for security reasons but also to help fit in with American culture, to Dr Adrian Noble. Taking up residence in Paragon City he quickly began research into his combat armour once more, and with the Space Race at full speed he found himself inundated with resources and support in order to achieve greater results. Soon his designs were being integrated into NASA's own work into space-based EVA suits and he was personally thanked by the Apollo Program team for his contributions.

Field tests

It was around this time that Dr Noble perfected his first field ready suit of armour, which he began field testing against the criminals rampant on the streets of Paragon City. His first engagements were less than satisfactory though, since even though his suit offered good protection against most street thugs while at the same time offering the sonic amplifiers' ability to incapacitate Dr Noble soon realised the suit was too slow and bulky to keep up with villains once they decided to escape.

Returning to the drawing board Dr Noble stripped down the suit's heavy armour plating and replaced it with far lighter, more flexible alternatives. Along with this he fitted out the suit with booster jets to allow it to jump short distances. Further testing proved far more promising with the new battlesuit helping Dr Noble to eliminate several of the arriving gangs in his local neighbourhood.

Moonstruck

Around this time Dr Noble came to the attention of an otherworldly being. Scrying through a crack between dimensions a creature who would one day use the name Lunna took note of the brave young man's battles against the thugs and soon became enamored to him. Going against the wishes of her compatriots she broke down the walls of reality and ventured into the strange world she'd been watching in the hopes of meeting the hero.

The disruption caused by her arrival gave her just the opportunity. Other beings, with intentions far less well-meaning than hers, took the chance to break into the world through the tear she'd caused. Spreading across the city the spirits caused panic in the streets and soon attracted the attention of Dr Noble, as well as many other heroes. Unable to understand how these being could exist, let alone how they were managing to tear apart his city, Dr Noble found himself relying on the newcomer to assist him in defeating them.

After working together tirelessly for several days Dr Noble found himself enjoying the stranger's company more and more and by the time it came to combining his technological skill with her magical abilities to seal the rift once and for all he discovered that he too had fallen in love with this otherworldly goddess. Soon after the couple were married.
