Backstory
James Marshall III comes from one of Paragon City's wealthier families, but he always rebelled against he expectations of his parents. Rather than spending his time establishing the right connections that he would need later in life, James began studying the martial arts at a young age. James seemed to have a natural talent at it, and to everyone's surprise he eventually surpassed all of his teachers. James' earlier teenage years were spent winning local, state, national, and international martial arts championships for his age group, but a future as a world champion were dashed by fate.
As James neared Olympic-level ability in his early teens it was discovered that he was in fact a mutant with an ability to use an enhanced muscle memory to perfectly mimic any physical action he could study. This made James a natural athlete and competitor, but he was forever banned from competing in the sports he wanted.
James has since enrolled with Squadron X (Virtue Supergroup) and is one of the first students. Much to his parents' dismay James has abandoned any dreams of pursuing a college education and prefers to spend his time studying all manner of mixed martial arts, fighting and weapon techniques, and other physical actions such as gymnastics and acrobatics. James now goes by the name of Martial and sees himself as one of the next great heroes in Paragon City, but his leisurely activities may stand in the way. James has a passion for fast cars, adrenaline sports, motorcycles, and young flirtatious heiresses and celebrities who just can't seem to stay out of the tabloids.
