Background
Renaud Bayard, the son of wealthy industrialist Benoit Bayard, was kidnapped by saboteurs and held for ransom. When his family wouldn't meet the demands of the kidnappers, Renaud was subjected to a program designed to turn the Bayard scion into an assassin through the use of highly advanced brainwashing techniques and cybernetic prosthesis. The program complete, Renaud's first assignment was to eliminate his family who had relocated from Montauban France to Paragon City a few years after the incident and the apparent death of their son. Code named Froberge, Renaud successfully tracked his family to Paragon City and broke into their home, defeated the house security and managed to nearly complete his mission until the older Bayard used an exposed power conduit to stun Renaud. Afterwhich the elder Bayard has sought to rehabilitate his son by providing a therapeutic outlet as a hero.
Abilities
Such were the changes to Renaud that little of his humanity was left intact. Renaud's skeletal system was replaced by an impervium analog designed to mimic the full range of human motion. What was left of his skin was fused in an unknown process with polyhydroquinone-diimidazopyridine (synthetic fibers stronger than Kevlar and extremely fire resistant). His circulatory system replaced by a electro-hydraulic system designed to fully mimic the human circulatory system. His respiratory system allows Renaud to function without the need for a breathing apparatus in aqueous environments and also filters air of contaminants before it is processed for use by his remaining organic systems. His musculature system is a combination of electric motors and electrochemomechanical biomemetic dielectric fiber bundles allowing for highly dexterous and precise movement. His nervous and endocrine systems were left largely intact but like his skin fused performance enhancing polymers increasing the nervous systems ability to withstand stress. Renaud's digestive and excretory systems were replaced with a system designed to use a liquid nutrient supplement in addition to reclaiming any waste products produced by his remaining organic systems with unrecoverable waste scrubbed from his system and stored in liquid form in a bladder like device until disposal. His lymphatic and immune system is now handled by a system that utilizes an onboard store of chemicals that can rapidly synthesize whatever drug is necessary to counteract toxins and diseases that are detected in what remains of his body. His eyes are hyper-spectral electro-optical devices allowing Renaud to see in a variety of situations including the near absence of light as well as providing optical capabilities similar to an ACOG/Reflex sight with a 6x zoom capability with a high degree of visual acuity and movement sensing capability in less than 1 diopter of space. His ears have been replaced with steerable cybernetic devices enabling Renaud to detect and interpret sounds at about 10 times the distance of the average human in a range of 10 to 80,000 hertz. Renaud's olfactory capability is essentially non-existent with a rudimentary system in place to detect hazardous chemicals which could affect his organic systems with further processing occurring in his circulatory system through the use of continuous sampling. Renaud's sense of touch is largely intact through both the use of his remaining nervous system and embedded sensors. Orignally powered by a small nuclear generator, Renaud's cybernetic systems are now powered by a miniaturized and modified version of the armored hero WarMain's power supply.
