The Argent Flame (Pinnacle)

Overview

The Argent Flame is a semi mystical force or energy in the Pinnacle Dimension that imbues rare individuals with powers similar to a human form Kheldian. Typically it is thought that there is no more than a handful of Argent Flame imbued individuals in the universe at any time. Analogous to the metaphysical cosmic and positive energy forces of other universes, the Argent Flame is seen as one of the animating forces in the Pinnacle Dimension. It has been conjectured that there is some connection between the Argent Flame and Kheldians as they are both effected by the weapons of the of the Void Hunters and share some degree of enmity with the Nictus.

Creation

The process by which an individual is imbued with the power of the Argent Flame is akin to reincarnation. Typically a person who nobly sacrifices themselves and is physically consumed in the process draws the attention of the Argent Flame. An apotheosis of sorts, the spirit of the individual is bound to the Argent Flame and given a new form composed entirely from the stuff. This new form is entirely immune to the effects of aging, disease and death that typically plagues most mortal entities. Individuals composed of Argent Flame can perish if they suffer enough damage to their body, however the individual is reborn at dawn the next day, fully aware of the events that led up to their dissolution.

Transformed individuals are barely aware of their previous existence, although the area of their death and certain other places where intense emotions were felt can create a sensation of déjà-vu in the argent flame imbued. However the noble spirit of the former consciousness lives on in the Argent Flame form.

Dissolution

When it is time for an Argent Flame wielder to "die" they willing dissolve and are drawn back into the Argent Flame. There is no set length of existence. History records life spans as short as having corrected a single wrong to Wielders having lived for hundreds of years. The mechanism for determining their life span is not and probably never will be understood.

Inherent Abilities

Argent Flame wielders possess many of the same abilities as human form Peacebringers, however the energy used to derive their power is almost entirely different. It has been conjectured that there is some connection between the Argent Flame and Kheldians as they are both effected by the weapons of the of the Void Hunters and share some degree of enmity with the Nictus.

Argent Flame wielders can inherently sense and see the degree of evil (almost universally referred to as "taint" by the wielders) in an individual or an area and are naturally drawn to such instances or people who are particularly effected (in the eyes of the wielder).

Argent Flame wielders also have an ability to commune with a sort of collective consciousness in the Flame. This ability grants Falme wielders an incredible degree of wisdom and knowledge they did not possess in their previous lives. This collective consciousness may also explain why the Argent Flame wielders do not seem to remember much if anything about their former lives.

Personality

To date there has never been an evil Argent Flame wielder encountered or recorded. Nor has there ever been an Argent Flame wielder that has willing taken the life of another. Any death that has resulted has been through inadvertent action. Argent Flame wielder's have a natural predispostion toward pacifism, but are pragmatic as well, realizing that by their very nature they will be involved in conflict. Also due to the special nature of thier exsistance Argent Flame wielders are steadfast and fearless in the face of certain doom.
