The Crimson Predator (Infinity)
|
Background
Ian Dyer's life was changed forever when he witnessed his own death at his own hands when he was only nine years old.
To clarify: A future version of Ian, the Villainous Crimson Predator, appeared in Ian's room, apparently with intent to kill his nine-year-old self. Just in time, another future version of himself--a Heroic version of the Crimson Predator--appeared and vanquished the villain. The killing blow dealt by the heroic Predator was an electrically charged strike from his sword. The feedback of encountering his own mutant powers caused the evil Predator's body to effervesce into energy. Then the hero vanished, leaving the empty costume of the Crimson Predator and a red scimitar.
Young Ian was very confused.
When his mutant powers manifested, Ian took up the sword, costume, and mantle of the Crimson Predator.
Early Career
Ian quickly discovered that the sword left by his future self was magical, intelligent, and able to telepathically communicate with him. The sword called itself "Sanguine."
Shortly after his heroing began, the Crimson Predator encountered the Guild of Time Travel. Given his obvious interest in learning as much as he can about time travel, Ian quickly joined up. He hasn't had too much time to get into any special kind of trouble yet.
