Back story
Hennry was always interested in Magic since he was a Kid. It was because Magic mesmerized him like it did to all the other children in Paragon. It was because it confused him, he wanted to explain it, and as he grew older his explanations he made in his youth no longer made quite the same amount of sense they did those years ago. In his spare time he would read many books about magic, and about those who have used magic. Soon he would own his own Library of all sorts of Encyclopedias on Magic, and even have a few Tomes of his own. When he graduated from Prometheus High School in Steel Canyon, he knew what Collage he would go to. Salamanca University, the leading University in the studies of Magic in the world. Of course he'd have to go to Steel Canyon University for a few Years before they would accept him. While going to SCU he met someone who would become his best friend, Marko Lopez(Secretly the Speed Demon). After a few years of studying Magic and Invention over at SCU, Hennry got the Call from the Dean of Admissions at Salamanca University, they found his work ground breaking in the field, and would be happy to teach him everything they knew about Magic. But then something from his past came back to him.
The Boltning
Hennry's Grandfather, Hector Hart, was a Hero back in World War II who went by the name of THE BOLTNING. When Hector was young, he bought a Pocket watch for his father, when Hector saw it he thought it looked just a little more golden than the others, that it was just maybe a little luckier than the rest. It wasn't. His father very soon after he was given the Pocket watch, was struck by lightning. A Magically produced one by the fiend Professor Electron. He was Dematerialized. All of him except his new Pocket Watch. Hector was devastated, this had been one of the very first deaths since the Heroes started appearing in Paragon, and very few people and even heroes thought this would have even been a possibility. Hector decided that the watch was cursed and threw it out into the ocean near what would one day become Talos Island. But the watch wouldn't stay under the sea, and eventually found it's way back in Hector 3 years later. Hector decided to keep it this time. But the Circle of Thorns wouldn't let him, and saught to take it from him having found that it held massive magical prowess. Hector would find out how to use the watch and gain control of it's magical prowess to allow him to fly, run at high speeds, and even to use a semi magical fighting art. The Boltning was born soon after his fight with the Cicle, and would later fight along with the Freedom Phalanx(Which he was asked to join, but refused due to his distaste of Super Powered Organizations) in World War II. After the war he stuck around Steel Canyon, but would soon have to hang up his mask. His Heart started to develop problems, some speculate that it was the Magic surging in him that caused it. Eventually his heart would fail altogether when the Rikti would land. It gave him a Heart Attack, but he was able to use the Pocket watch to buy him enough time to say goodbye to his son, his daughter in law, his wife, his Brother, and his Grandson, who he felt had enough concern of magic and enough good in his heart to carry on his soon to be legacy.
The Boltning II
During Hennry's move to Salamanca University, he had re-found his Grandfather's Pocket Watch. Soon after he realized that his Grandfather was the Hero Boltning, and that this pocket watch gave him his powers, and soon he found a way to use these powers himself. He set out to be a Hero, like his Grandfather, exactly like his Grandfather. He would become The Boltning II. But Hennry was misguided and lacking in the heroics his Grandfather thought he'd have. He was reckless and out for Fame, and didn't care about the mission of the True Hero. To Serve and Protect. In his recklessness, he got another Hero Killed. This Tormented Hennry, so much so he gave up Heroics and decided to work on his studies of Magic instead. And so like his Grandfather, he went out to Talos Island and threw the Pocket watch out to sea.
Golden Speedster
Three years later the Pocket watch would return to him. Hennry saw this as a sign, as he remembered something his Grandfather said: "It's true that Vigilantes may be a bad thing, someone with so much power, and makes his own rules. But something many look over is that, if you have the ability to do something, then why don't you? When they say, with great power comes great responsibility, it doesn't just mean to use the power wisely, but to use the power if you've got it too." He thought, that alot of people don't have the ability to be heroes, why would he waste it by not doing anything. But Hennry felt that his Grandfather's name was tarnished enough as it was, and that maybe he should make his own name for himself and even make his own new Costume.
