'''The Acolytes''' are a villain group lead by [[Helion]].  They are on a quest to secure Incarnate Powers for themselves, and in the process, to keep them from any who might deign to use such powers against them.  In other words, Helion hopes to secure a monopoly on perhaps the most power in the world.  In order to do that, he must distract existing heroes with kidnappings, thefts and other crimes to keep them busy so that he and his team can destroy the heroes after they are weakened or merely keep them too busy protecting Paragon City to pursue the power that the Well of Furies holds.  Either way is a win for the Acolytes.

Overview

The Acolytes are a villain group lead by Helion.

Fresh Faces

Prime Acolytes

After the events of the "Alpha, Bravo & Gamma" storyarc, Helion went about recruiting some new members to fill out the ranks of his Acolytes just a bit... but instead of going for quantity this time, he went for quality! He calls this new team his 'Prime' Acolytes.

Name Archetype Origin Powers Rank Description
Helion Hybrid Mutation Fiery Assault / Fire Aura Leader, Founder James Garver is a former acquaintance of Arcforce and now a fire-powered leader of the Acolytes. His rage burns even more after his defeat at the hands of Arc and his friends.

Original Team Members

Note: Enemies listed in red are considered to be more or less permanently defeated after the events of the "Acolytes: Alpha, Bravo and Gamma" Story Arc was completed by Arcforce and his friends. Enemies listed in green have defected from the Acolytes and Helion's cause completely. Finally, enemies listed in orange are considered neutral to the cause and pursuing their own goals apart from Helion.

Alpha Team

The Alpha Team is lead by Helion himself and is composed of some of his most trusted villains. Among their ranks is the Acolytes' resident mad scientist Ophidius Rex.

Ophidius Rex Mastermind Science Bots / Sonic Resonance Scientist Ophidius has all but shed his humanity to delve into science. He uses his skills to manufacture robots as well as clone Arachnoids for the Acolytes as "troops."

Bravo Team

The Bravo Team is lead by Arcforce's formerly incarcerated brother, Twostripe. This branch of the Acolytes is a powerhouse designed as the league's "brute squad." If something gets by this team, it pretty much deserves to. Helion has placed Twostripe in the lead mainly as a way to destabilize Arcforce and hopefully force him and his friends into making mistakes when they face him.

Guillotine Arachnos Soldier Natural (Various) Guillotine is a ruthless ex-Arachnos Soldier whose principle contribution to the Acolytes was in obtaining the formula to create Arachnoids.

Gamma Team

Gamma Team has been tasked with those jobs the other teams do not wish to concern themselves, but just because they are somewhat more lowly does not mean they are a force to be trifled with. The Gamma Team is lead by an experience villain in his own right, Skull-Force.

Name Archetype Origin Powers Rank Description
