Hello $name. I'm glad you're willing to work with me, and you appear trustworthy. A comrade of ours has disappeared, Sayuri Dusk. I don't know if you heard of her, she's not as famous as I am, but I think she's a good girl.
Her last mission was in the Rogue Isles, and I'm afraid I'm not ready to go into enemy territory, so I need someone like you to assist me. Freedom Corps is unwilling to help me for some reason, it's one lame excuse after another. |
Investigate the disappearance of Sayuri Dusk
Top Guardian |
Okay, according to Sayuri's friend, Lady Angel or whatever she calls herself, she went to an Arachnos warehouse on Mercy Island. You know what not to do over there, right? Don't let people know you're a Hero. Preferably not even Longbow, better avoid any attention altogether. When you reach your destination, look for any clues about what happened to her.
In the meantime … I'll try to get more info from the other Heroes. Not that I expect to succeed. |
Investigate Sayuri's disappearance
Top Guardian |
Officially, Sayuri went missing when Galaxy City was destroyed. As far as I know, she had an apartment there, but only the bodies of her family were found in the ruins. Now there are the inevitable rumors about her disappearance: Some say Arachnos killed her, some say she defected. Freedom Corps maintains she's on a secret mission, and we can't interfere, she knew about the risks beforehand. To me, it sounds like her disappearance is actually quite fine with them.
Okay, maybe I've gotten caught up in this. |
Most "Villains" on Mercy are no threat for you. Even so, you hope nobody alerted the officials to your presence.

Operative Kurento's statement
"My predecessor captured that hero. Then he went rogue. I don't know what happened to her. Some say he was a double agent and freed her. Or that she even was a re-doubled agent, or whatever the term is. The other major rumor is that he betrayed us to the Council, but I don't see the connection." |
Records about Sayuri Dusk and Pleech
The data confirm that a Hero matching Sayuri's description was captured here and that Operative Pleech was also responsible for taking her to a more secure place, implying he had been informed of her arrival beforehand. Pleech is later stated to be a traitor, but any details are classified. |

An Operative Pleech disappeared along with Sayuri? Thanks, that might be just the clue I need. Of course, she can't actually be free. She would've told us she was okay, don't you think?
Oh, and here is my phone number. We shouldn't meet more often than necessary, just in case. |
