Well, the good news is that Jane Smith has helped us create a spell to get rid of Ecevlex. The bad news is that Divine set out to defeat him by herself. She doesn't want to pull anyone else into danger, but I'm afraid she's too inexperienced to beat him, especially with his followers backing him. Can you follow and assist her, mate?

I've already tried to call other heroes who might know about how to deal with gods, but prepare for everything.

What if Ecevlex wins this battle? What if he and his not exactly friendly cult decide to stay in Paragon?

Cult of Ecevlex: You are a fool to set out against Master Ecevlex. Now you will pay the price.
Angel Tina: Huh? I am already dead.
Combat start:
Cult of Ecevlex: More of these "heroes"!
Angel Tina: Oh, hey $name!
Once free: Greg said Divine's not experienced enough. Let's see if I am!
Defeats an enemy: Go back to your heaven, and stay there!
If lost: Where are you going? Shouldn't we stick together?
If refound: Let's teach this god a lesson!
Takes damage: I've experienced worse than this and I've fought lots of guys like you before.
25% Health: Is there another healer around?

Mr. Ge dialogue
Before combat:
Cult of Ecevlex: Your relics are of interest to us.
Mr. Ge: My mother-in-law knows about you, and she doesn't like you.
Combat start:
Cult of Ecevlex: More intruders! Quick, dispatch them or they might become a threat!
Mr. Ge: $name? I'm here!
Once free: Whew, thanks. I was looking for Tina and lost my way …
Defeats an enemy: Your goddess is no match for Ecevlex!
If lost: $name? Where are you again?
If refound: I'm not sure if I can take them alone.
50% Health: I could use some help here …
25% Health: Help!

Patrol dialogue
Cult of Ecevlex 1: Are you sure that this rogue goddess isn't pretending to be weak?
Cult of Ecevlex 2: Do not worry. She is a fool, and the Master will absorb her power.

Divine dialogue
Before combat:
Cult of Ecevlex: Now you pay the price for your brazenness.
Divine: Uh … please … This is all a misunderstanding …
Combat start:
Cult of Ecevlex: Her followers are here!
Divine: Help …
Upon rescue: Thanks … Ecevlex was going to absorb my power … I'm afraid I must ask you to defeat him instead.

Ambush! Upon rescuing Divine, you will be ambushed by the Cult of Ecevlex.
Do not let the Master's enemy escape!

Ecevlex dialogue

Combat start: You're walking into your doom, mortals!
Defeats a player: YOU WERE A FOOL TO CHALLENGE ME!
Takes damage: How do you dare …
75% Health: YOU'RE FIGHTING A BATTLE YOU CANNOT WIN, FOR I AM DIVINE!
50% Health: YOUR EFFORTS ARE IMPRESSIVE, BUT FUTILE. JOIN ME, AND ALL OF US WILL PROFIT.
25% Health: NO! I WILL NOT BE DEFEATED BY MINOR ENTITIES!
Defeated: HOW CAN THIS BE? I AM A GOD!

Having defeated Ecevlex, you proceed to cast the spell to banish him back to the netherworld.

You did it! Ecevlex has been severely weakened and is no longer a threat, at least for the present. His cult appears to be in chaos, and some have renounced him for various reasons.
Ecevlex had intended to somehow absorb Divine's power to quickly increase his own. We were lucky that you arrived in time to prevent that from happening.
