Those demons just can't be peaceful. Now they've decided to attack the Melendez mansion, threatening Sonia and her servants. I don't think they are allowed to do this, so somebody like you has to put them in their place again. And if they are, well, we can hold responsible the person who called us.

Cook dialogue
Before combat: I'll serve you anything!
Combat start:
Circle of Thorns: I've never tasted hero.
Upon rescue: I know I botched yesterday's dinner, but can Miss Sonia actually give me to the demons for that?
|
Patrol dialogue
Circle of Thorns 1: Urthelirchu will be indebted to us now.
Circle of Thorns 2: Yeah, but what kind of favor would that wussy be able to do us?
|
Security Guard dialogue
Before combat:
Circle of Thorns: Why aren't you doing anything?
Security Guard: I can't actually fight, sorry.
Description: This guy was not supposed to be an actual guard, they just hired him for show.
Combat start:
Circle of Thorns: Finally, somebody more challenging.
Upon rescue: They said the demons were the actual protectors here – I was just a teacher looking for work …
|
Servant dialogue
Before combat: I knew I shouldn't have let the girl have the grimoire.
Description: Another employee who is likely about to quit her job (at least if she can find a new one).
Combat start:
Circle of Thorns: You here to serve us? No? Then get lost.
Upon rescue: And here I thought I had the sole remaining family member under control.

Sonia Melendez dialogue
Before combat:
Circle of Thorns: Now I'm confused.
Sonia Melendez: No, I'm totally sticking to the contract. Look at me, I'm a demon myself, why would I cheat?
Description: Sonia Melendez has indeed followed in her parents' footsteps but taken them in another direction (does that phrase make sense?) by turning herself into a half-demon or something.
Combat start:
Circle of Thorns: Oh well, let's just be evil again.
Sonia Melendez: Yay! Heroes! Look, I'm just like you now!
Once free: I've got powers, too! Now we can burn their butts together!
If lost: Hey … $name … or whatever your name was …
If refound: Come on, you're here to help me!
75% Health: Hehe, this tickles …
Defeated: Oh, cool, I'm getting medi-ported, just like a hero …

Ambush! Upon freeing Sonia Melendez, you will be ambushed by the Circle of Thorns.
Hey! We want to win, too!
|
Urthelirchu dialogue
Before combat:
Circle of Thorns: Just how did you let this happen to you?
Urthelirchu: Shut up and get me my body back!
Description: Has Sonia managed to pull a fast one on this demon?
Combat start:
Circle of Thorns: Well, let's protect him.
Urthelirchu: Heroes! No!
Upon capture: Uh … Yeah, I'm the victim here! Do I look like an evildoer? I'm completely inept … uh …

Well, in the unlikely case she hasn't already told you herself … You hero guys must have impressed Sonia. In order to gain some powers herself, she merged with Arthelurkus or whatever his name was, then surprised him by displaying enough willpower to force him out of their new half-demon body, instead of the other way round. Now she's going to be a hero and live off our funds, rather than getting a real job.
Sonia wrote "Fiend Girl" on her ID card. Doesn't sound very heroic, does it? At least I was able to talk Ms. Ge into mentoring her. What? You weren't going to do that yourself, were you?
