According to – what was her name – Black Jodie – and I don't have a reason to distrust her –, the Shields took Sayuri alive, rather than killing her on the spot. They supposedly took her to a place on Industrial Avenue, and I have indeed located a building where I detected what appear to be their magical readings. I need you to check it out before they do something to my student.

As I said, they're going to kill her because she happens to be a vampire. Our witness didn't say anything to the contrary. They might be interrogating her first, but I cannot tell how much time you have to free her.

So they brought in her father from California and told him she had become a monster so they would receive his blessing to kill her. They're even worse than I thought. Sayuri is not your usual vampire. She – Deborah, I believe that was her birth name – had been granted a wish from a deity. Not taking him seriously, she had him turn her into a heroic vampire. I then approached her and taught her how to survive as a vampire without doing evil, but she was still too embarrassed to return to her family. Her transformation was a spell rather than an infection, a spell so powerful that it's virtually impossible to break, and that must have piqued the Shields' interest, so they have brought her to a major base where she can be properly examined … before they kill her. As for that other Hero working with them, Azure Huntress … I understand that she has a great reputation, but she is said to suffer from a kind of curse, too. She might have lost her mind. I should talk to the officials.
